Andrew Parker
Andrew Parker attended Marlborough College and went on to study divinity at Edinburgh University where his maternal grandfather, Prof Robert Rainy, had been Principal of the School of Divinity. Andrew embarked on a career in the Church of Scotland but quickly came to realise that the Church was too privileged a place from which to preach about the Bible's mandate - to love your neighbour as yourself. So Andrew left a promising career in the Church and began a life as a manual worker, first in France, then Castlemilk, Glasgow and latterly in London where he still lives in Tower Hamlets. However, he has never given up on the Bible, believing it to be a book which, today more than ever, has much to teach us.
