Karen N. Canton
Over the course of four years, Karen Canton developed twelve bold and expressive portraits for The Scarlet Cord as seen on www.ScarletCordBook.com, using the colors and patterns of European rich ethnic traditions studied on her many trips to Europe. Within each painting is a range of historical and faith-based symbols, both abstract and realistic. Her work reflects the impact of impressionists as well as portrait and landscape artists. Her Southern California surroundings have inspired her to higher levels of productivity than at any other time in her life.
