R.M. KEELAN DOWNTON is Research Professor of Theology, Micah Institute, at New York Theological Seminary and Communications and Public Relations Specialist for the Woodstock Theological Center at Georgetown University. He served as the Faith & Order Postdoctoral Fellow at the NCC from 2005-2007 and is an ongoing participant in the emerging church conversation through the lens of Wesleyan, Anabaptist, and Pentecostal theological traditions with research interests in narrative theology, ecumenism, and peace studies. Downton is author of Authority in the Church: An Ecumenical Reflection on Hermeneutic Boundaries and Their Implications for Inter-Church Relations (2006).
