Tom Arthur
Tom Arthur is an American Presbyterian minister recruited in 1988 by the United Reformed Church in the UK to serve in Wales. Before that, he served as a minister in Chicago and taught at Chicago’s Loyola University. His work in Chicago was featured in a study of church revitalization, Redevelopment that Works! The church he served in Cardiff before retirement in 2009 became an Open and Affirming church under his leadership, and the church’s work with asylum seekers has received a national community service award. He has taught at the University of Birmingham and currently teaches New Testament Greek in the Cardiff Adult Christian Education Centre.
